Creating a Photoshop Signature action

Finally automated the signature action in Photoshop. Here are the steps I used:

1. Load any picture into Photoshop. You need something to work on to create an action
2. If your Action panel isn’t visible, click on Window->Action (Alt+F9)
3. On the Action panel, click on the fourth icon from the left at the bottom of the panel. This is to create a new set. Let’s call it “Signature”
4. Now click on the fifth icon from the left. This is to create a new action. Type your name as the action name
5. Now click on the second icon from the left, which is the record button. Now you’re recording your action
6. Click on the foreground color picker and select white
7. Now click on the type tool in the side bar. It’s normally a “T”
8. Click on anywhere in the photo to start typing
9. Now select the font, the size and any other attribute you want to change for your signature
10. Type your signature. It’ll normally be “© <name>”
11. Next you’ll need to rasterize your layer to make it manipulatable. Click on Layer->Rasterize->Type
12. Now Select->All
13. And we’ll move the layer to the lower right by first doing Layer->Align Layer to Selection->Bottom Edges
14. Then Layer->Align Layer to Selection->Right Edges
15. Select->Deselect (Ctrl+D)
16. We’ll move the signature away from the edge by clicking on the Move tool
17. Using the cursor keys, move the signature 10 steps up and 10 steps left
18. Now Select->Load Selection to select the signature text for manipulation
19. We’ll use Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur with a radius of 4
20. Then Filter->Stylize->Emboss with Angle of 135 degrees, Height of 4 pixels and Amount of 200%. Play around with these settings to find something you like
21. Next go to the Layers panel and change the blending mode to Hard Light
22. You can now click on the first icon in the Action panel to stop the recording
